Beethoven's Für Elise, a viola and piano arrangement with sheet music video. What you hear is my own performance of this amazing piece of classical music.
Both the viola arrangement and the piano accompaniment are relatively simpler (especially the piano accompaniment) which makes it a perfect duo for late beginner to intermediate musicians. It is also a great piece to practice dynamics for the violist, as the piece requires a lot of dynamics to sound just right on the instrument.
Musical expression is very dynamic as I imagine Beethoven would have written it had he decided to arrange it for viola. The viola having just the right tone to bring out how dark this piece actually gets. The biggest change is the final repetition of the main melody. For me, the mid section being a lot darker than the rest is what makes this such a great piece to explain what Beethoven is about, so I decided to use the same accompaniment in the end for the final repetition of the main themes.
