Jan 31, 2016 Okinawa Japan. Filmed with GoPro Hero 4 silver edition. Last weekend in Japan before departing on ship for 2 months. 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit. This is a very poor representation of what boat company is like in Okinawa. We usually do most of our training in the middle of the night when it's freezing cold or pouring rain and with a lot more CRRCs(combat rubber raiding craft). But this particular day we were working with Amphibious Reconnaissance Platoon to certify the naval vessel you see in the video, for launch and recovery operations. The weather was awesome on this day, the water was super clear and we were on a cool little beach. Salute to all the guys in ARP, they actually look like they enjoy their job unlike the regular infantry. As you can see in the last clip. Since filming this video I've completed my 5 year contract with the military. Even though I am extremely glad to be out, I do miss the few good days like this one. We all got burgers after breaking down and cleaning the boats. Hope you enjoy the video.
