SANTA HAT CUPCAKE
Santa Hat Cupcakes with Marshmallows are adorable Christmas Cupcakes perfect for kids. This cute Cupcake is basically a dark chocolate cupcake with red buttercream frosting and decorated with Mini Marshmallows which seem like a Santa Hat. It's not only pretty but it's delicious!

- 1 cup AP Flour 201gm or 7.1oz
- ½ Tsp Baking powder
- ½ Tsp Baking Soda
- ¼ Tsp Salt
- ¼ cup Dutch Processed Cocoa Powder
- 1 Tsp Pure Vanilla Extract
- ½ cup Canola oil
- ½ cup Granulated Sugar 100gm or 3.55oz
- 1 cup Packed Light Brown Sugar 200gm or 7.5oz
Buttercream frosting
- 1½ Cup Confectioner's Sugar 339.9gm
- 1 cup Salted Butter softened
- 1 drop Red Gel Food Color
- 1 Tsp Vanilla Extract
- mini marshmallows vanilla
1) Preheat the oven to 350F or 180C. Line a greased muffin tin with cupcake liners.In a large bowl whisk the AP Flour, Baking Soda, Baking powder, and Cocoa Powder.
2) Now, throw in the Granulated Sugar, Brown Sugar, Vanilla Extract, and Canola Oil into the dry ingredients and stir to combine using a wooden spoon. You can do this using a stand mixer. The cupcake batter should be thick.
3) Pour the Cupcake Batter into the lined Muffin tin. Bake the Cupcakes for 20 minutes at 350F or 180C.
4) In a large mixing bowl, pour the softened butter and whip it until it gets creamy. Add the vanilla extract and whip until combined. Now, and the confectioner's sugar. Whip both of these using a handheld mixer or do this step in a stand mixer. Whip until the sugar dissolves and you get stiff peaks. Add 1 drop of Bright Red Gel food color and whip until you get a nice red buttercream frosting ready. Pour the Red Frosting in the Piping Bag without the Nozzle or use a nozzle without the star tip. Snip the Edge and do the frosting.
5) Begin by making the Santa hat. For that do the Red Frosting over your cupcake. Then go ahead and make the top of the hat and the fringes of the hat using the mini marshmallows. Serve immediately or refrigerate until you serve!
