In Bulgaria "ovco" [ɔvtzɔ] is an address often used by men to communicate with the opposite sex. The root of the word comes from the Bulgarian word "ovca", which means "sheep". "Ovco" is a popular address and can be used in a variety of situations. Usually the particle verb "are" [arɛ] is put in front of it which could be translated as "come on" but has a more colloquial sound. It is mostly used to provoke a delayed action .The particle "ma" [ma] is also inserted into the sentence "Are ovco" to make it sound even more complete. This defines the sheep as female and gives the whole phrase a more rhythmic sound - "Are ma ovco".
