When is missing your train.. not missing you train? Under certain circumstances, if you miss a train at Flinders Street station, it *can* be possible to catch up to it before it leaves the CBD. Using the weirdness of Melbourne's City Loop to your advantage (see explainer here: [ Ссылка ] ) you can catch another train travelling around the Loop in the opposite direction, and still get to your train before it heads out to the suburbs. In this video, I just miss a Mernda train on Platform 1. The Mernda line is part of the Clifton Hill Group which always runs around the Loop clockwise. Because it's a weekday afternoon, I am able to walk over to Platform 5 and catch a Craigieburn train heading into the Loop counter-clockwise, and arrive at Parliament just in time to get on the same Mernda train I narrowly missed back at Flinders Street. Filmed Wednesday 12th of January 2022.
