Tami's Crispy Chickpeas in the Air fryer
Today on "Tuesday With Tami And Tom" we are using both of our air fryers, The Breville Smart Oven Air and the Mealthy CrispLid to make these tasty chickpea treats.
The Recipe
Crispy Chickpeas No Oil Air Fryer
1 1/2 teaspoons granulated garlic powder
1 teaspoon granulated onion powder
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/2 - 1 teaspoon Table Tasty Salt Substitute or your favorite salt substitute
Rinse and drain 1 can of chickpeas. Lay them out on a stack of paper towels or a kitchen towel and dry them off removing any loose skins. Transfer the chickpeas to a small bowl. Add the spices and mix them well. Transfer chickpeas to the air fryer basket and make sure they are in a sinlge layer. Put them in a cold air fryer set to 400 degrees. Set timer for 20 minutes. Turn them or move them around after 10 minutes or when it looks like they are getting brown on the tops. Watch them closely as they can go from lightly brown to burnt in a hurry. How long varies from air fryer to air fryer and depending on how moist and soft your chickpeas are. Experiment and have fun!
