What do we consider "beginner" pole moves anyway?
For today's video, I searched "Beginner Pole Tricks" on YouTube, filtering by View Count. These are the first five actual tutorials that popped up... representing varying degrees of quality. Watch me attempt to follow along with the videos before I rate them out of five possible shrimps!
Safety first! Have a mat and someone near you when attempting new moves, and always seek a trained instructor whenever possible. *However* I believe that true beginner moves should not require a mat. Hence the thumbnail. I am very passionate about not dissuading people from taking up pole by making it seem like "beginner" moves are these big impossible things. A "beginner" move should be achievable within the first few class sessions, if they're being taught properly, and they shouldn't involve inversions, needing a crash mat, being way up high, or anything scary like that.
This video includes beginner, intermediate, and advanced pole tricks, dancing, fitness, aerial arts, inversions, training, and more!
