Save seeds from your own squash and zucchini plants. It is very easy to save seeds from different varieties of squash and zucchini plants. If you want to save seeds true to its variety, you much protect the flower from getting cross pollinated by bees and other insects by putting a net on the flowers and then using qtip to hand pollinate the flowers. Let the squash and zucchini ripen on the plant and when it becomes hard, harvest the squash and zucchini and cut open to extract the seeds, dry the seeds on a paper towel and store the seeds for upto 3 years in a col dark place.
