On The Scene: Scuffles erupted in a Jerusalem protest on Monday (September 2) as Israelis took to the streets demanding the release of hostages being held in Gaza by Hamas. Israeli protesters took to the streets for a second day, and the largest trade union launched a general strike to press the government to reach a deal to return the hostages, after the bodies of six people held in Gaza were returned to Israel.
