432Hz is a sine wave 'pure' in the sense there are no additional overtones or harmonics in the waveform. It is all fundamental tone (theoretically speaking).
432 Hz is not part of the western musical scale system centered at 440 hertz, the 'A' note for the past century. Some people seem to prefer 432 as the "A' key center for a myriad of reasons. Listeners let us know your thoughts in the comments.
In a musical world centered around 440 hertz, 432 always sounds a little 'flat' to most musicians with perfect or relative pitch abilities. This was my discovery after producing a couple records centered on 432Hz.
So while 432Hertz may be a closer to a harmonic of the Earth's resonant frequency. or instruments sounding more lush in this frequency center, or the great conspiracy to re-center Western music to 440Hertz, the debate will likely not come to a conclusion soon.
