At 6:00am every morning, there is an eerie yet surreal melody that plays in a corner somewhere in the vast concrete jungle of Pyongyang city. The whole scene of looking out of the window to this gorgeous view of a Pyongyang sunrise listening to the tune is an indescribable feeling through words.
If you are wondering where this melody comes from, it is in fact a tune that is played at the Pyongyang Railway Station daily. It can be heard throughout the entire city because Pyongyang is extremely quiet and clear of noise pollution especially at this hour. The tune is called "Where are you dear General" and was written by Kim Jong-il himself.
Please note that the sounds from this video is original and recorded from my room window while enjoying the sunrise.
