So in studying these two gas grills I noticed a lot to be the same between them. The question is, what is different between the two grills, and is the S- series worth the extra money. So lets break it down.
Both grills I noticed, have pretty much the same shell, and cart. So from the outside I would say the grills are near identical and have the same build pretty much. Temperature gauge is also the same, along with the cooking grates. So what are you getting in the form of upgrades with the S-series?
-Drop in Infrared burner
This is a standard feature, and the far left burner gives you a nice sear station
- Rotisserie Burner, and spit rod
- Again a nice feature that comes standard with this guy.
- Ceramic Briquettes
- These guys promote nice even heat distribution throughout the grill, and stop hot spots from happening. Again a nice upgrade.
- Smoker Box
- This is cool that they come with it, but not a huge deal here, as smoker box’s are not very expensive.
- Exterior lighting
- This is just on the knobs themselves. Again not a huge deal, as the exterior knobs are not overly functional
What is surprising is both grills have the same burners in them. Which is a huge deal, as burners are some of the most important features of gas grills. Both grills have the infinity burners which is super cool, these are super heavy duty high BTU burners in the grills.
