Tourtiere is a french meat pie recipe that I make every year at Christmas ! Every family has their own version, but I will show you my favorite way to make it. Let me know in the comments below what you think !!
Filling for 1 Tourtiere
* I made 4 tourtieres with the amount of filling in this video.
1 lb beef
.75 lbs pork
1 onion
2 cloves of garlic
1 tsp each of Sage, Thyme, Beef Shwarma seasoning and Herbs de Provence
Pie Crust (makes top and bottom)
3 cups flour
8 oz unsalted butter
1 cup cold water
1 tsp salt
and a 9" pie tin
Always Egg Wash all pies before they go in a 425 degree oven for 20 - 25 mins!
