Here's a look at the television coverage of the British Columbia municipal elections. Unlike many other provinces, British Columbia does not use a ward system, instead electing councilors on a city-level at-large. BC (and Quebec) also has municipal political parties, unlike other provinces where all candidates are technically all independent.
In the city of Vancouver, incumbent mayor Kennedy Stewart (Forward Together, centre-left) lost his re-election bid against Ken Sim (ABC Vancouver, centre-right). Sim's ABC Vancouver saw all of its candidates win on City Council (7/10), the School Board (5/9) and the Park Board (6/7), thereby ensure an ABC majority on all three boards. Rounding out City Council are the Greens (centre-left) with 2 seat and OneCity (centre-left) with one seat.
Citytv did not provide live election coverage until 11 PM, and did not actually show any results on screen.
