The Azimio La Umoja One Kenya leadership is accusing President William Ruto of reneging on his pre-election campaign promise of promptly lowering the cost of living to cushion Kenyans from the harsh economic effects. Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka says Ruto had kicked off on a questionable note and is demanding full disclosure on the purchase of the fertilizer being distributed to farmers at subsidized rate. And as Francis Gachuri reports, Azimio lawmakers in the national assembly have been directed to reject the nomination of Aisha Jumwa and Mithika Linturi for appointment as cabinet secretaries, due to criminal cases they face in court.
