Was thinking a bit about where Remington was in the grand scheme of things around the turn of the century when Browning walked out of Winchester with the Autoloading Shotgun and had the unfortunate “meeting” with Remington president M. Hartley that never happened due to his death. They didn’t have the Model 11 yet so what WAS on the cover of the Shotgun Catalog in 1908?
The Model 10 is a strange one. Not much available on it.....never was extremely popular with the public OR the military. It makes for one of the coolest trench guns with its wooden hand guard that runs the length of the top of the barrel but the military embraced the Winchester Model 12, Stevens 520/30 and 620, and even the Winchester 1897 to a much greater degree and the general public had the same view.
It’s a Petersen design that is very unique and I love watching it work.......when it works.
Love ya JP........
