Ahoy hoy!
Today I get to talk about yet another Strat copy.
And another Aria - except - this time it isn't a ARIA Pro II.
It's just plain Aria. In my three whole minutes of research this appears to be an anomaly. Aria changed their guitar names to Aria Pro II in the 70's - so what is this? Pre 70's?
Absolutely not. Far too clean and modern.
I presume it is just a reuse of the plain "Aria" name for their more affordable, entry level instruments. And STG? Must be a shortening of the word "Stage" - isn't it?
They are still selling STG models but under the Aria Pro II name - so perhaps just a weird period of time in their manufacture. No idea on the age or country this was made in, unfortunately, but it is a reasonably made Strat copy - points of note are the lovely deep red metallic finish and solid feel.
After so many Strat copies - it is very difficult to tell any of these apart - really! It's a solid, well made guitar, the electrics are nothing special, nor are they rubbish. A little contact cleaner and they will be back up to top notch in no time. If that doesn't work, it is sure to be dry solder joints.
Toodle Pip!
