4. SOUNDBITE (English) Hillary Rodham Clinton, US Secretary of State:
"I'm sure many of the Americans here were likewise (watching news about Sandy) quite concerned and especially if you have family and friends up and down our East coast. But I represented New York, as some of you may know, for eight years in the United States senate. I love that city, I love that state. And I could not help it thinking there it was, this horrible emergency that mother nature had inflicted upon us. And I know that city well, and when I saw the reports of the firefighters in Breezy Point, Queens or in downtown Manhattan, I could see in my mind's eye, not only the buildings and the place, but the people. More than 8 million people from everywhere in the world, governing themselves, electing their leaders, working together, living, breathing, progressing. That's what I want for this country."
5. Wide of US embassy staff applauding
6. SOUNDBITE (English) Hillary Rodham Clinton, US Secretary of State:
"Now almost exactly one year ago this embassy was attacked by a lone gunman, and in that difficult time you also pulled together as a community both to support one another and to ensure that the relations with the people and government continue as strong as ever."

STORYLINE
US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton praised the unity of Superstorm-hit New Yorkers and said she wished the same unity for Bosnia, as she toured the Balkans to urge rival ethnic groups to settle their differences for the good of their nations.
"I know that city well, and when I saw the reports of the firefighters in Breezy Point, Queens or in downtown Manhattan, I could see in my mind's eye, not only the buildings and the place, but the people," Clinton said.
"More than 8 million people from everywhere in the world, governing themselves, electing their leaders, working together, living, breathing, progressing. That's what I want for this country," she added, referring to Bosnia.
Clinton also referenced a 2011 attack by a lone gunman on the US embassy in Sarajevo and how Bosnians had then joined forces in the face of adversity.
"In that difficult time you also pulled together as a community both to support one another and to ensure that the relations with the people and government continue as strong as ever," she said.
Clinton and top American and European diplomats are on a joint diplomatic tour of the Balkans.
The US Secretary of State and European Union foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton are later meeting together with Bosnia's three presidents before travelling to Belgrade for similar talks with Serbian leaders.
Clinton and Ashton will see Kosovo's leaders on Wednesday.
They are expected to support each Balkan nation's efforts to join the EU and NATO.
But they will demand reforms on market and democratic issues as well as the rule of law and greater respect for minorities.
