In the darkest corners of humanity, unimaginable suffering persists, and we are now confronted with a heart-wrenching tragedy. A Colbert County woman, Debra Catledge, has been arrested in connection with an animal hoarding case that defies comprehension.
The discovery was nothing short of a nightmare: 29 lifeless horses and countless others, both horses and dogs, on the brink of starvation and despair. Catledge's arrest is a grim testament to her repeated cruelty – this marks her fourth arrest for running similar operations. She bred puppies for profit and ruthlessly sent horses to their doom in slaughterhouses.
Paws Angels Dog Rescue, alongside other selfless rescues, has bravely stepped in to rescue these poor souls from their living hell. These survivors are in a pitiful state – they're covered in matted fur, infested with fleas and ticks, suffering from overgrown nails, living amidst their own filth, plagued by heartworm, and facing the agony of rotting teeth. Locked in cages, they endured day after day of unimaginable suffering. Mothers, heartworm positive, gave birth to their newborns in this nightmarish setting. The situation is tragic beyond words, and our hearts shatter with every step we take.
The clock is ticking, and we urgently need your help. We are grappling with massive veterinary bills as we work tirelessly to heal these animals and give them the chance they so desperately need. Your generous donations will directly support their medical care, nourishment, and recovery. If you can't give financially, please consider supporting us by donating essential items from our wishlist. These animals are fighting for their lives, and they need you now more than ever.
