Leaving Oaxaca City behind to travel into the mountains and disconnected in nature. We travel to San José del Pacifico which is a great backpackers destination. With cheap rooms and located between Oaxaca and the coast: This place makes a beautiful stay if you want to break the long bus ride.

La Cumbre ( WE DONT RECOMMEND IT)
First, we slept in La Cumbre ( but small rooms/cabanas even further than La Cumbre ) for 320 pesos a night. We DO NOT recommend staying at la cumbre
San Jose cabanas
This place was on the main road and they had loads of different rooms. We had a cheap room with a shared bathroom for only 150 pesos.
