SNP MSPs were today told to "take a look at themselves" after complaining about Douglas Ross calling trans double-rapist Isla Bryson a “monster”.
The Scottish Tory leader was heckled as he pressed Nicola Sturgeon at First Minister's Questions on whether Bryson - formerly Adam Graham - would be treated as a man or a woman on their release from prison.
The First Minister refused to say, and also would not commit to publishing the full report following an urgent review that was carried out into Bryson being sent to a women’s prison last week - before a u-turn after a public backlash.
Raising the issue, Mr Ross said: “At the last count, the First Minister had refused 12 times to say if Isla Bryson is a man or a woman, and it’s important because that affects how public bodies treat these criminals when they are released from jail.
“The First Minister says she doesn’t have enough information to decide if this double rapist is a man. He’s a rapist, he has a penis. What further information can the First Minister possibly need?”
Mr Ross was then subject to heckles and grumbles in the Holyrood Chamber as he described Bryson as a “monster”.
