435 Husqvarna - worm gear replacement, clutch bearing replacement and look at the pump!
With much criticism, humour and Newfy.
I walk you step by step until I believe you’re big enough to put on your big boy pants and change a worm gear yourself using my methods. No specialty tools.
I will also show you how to get down to the pump if you need to replace that. Adequate oil is required for your chainsaw to run smooth. If you do not have enough oil this could cause the bar or chain it’s self to get so hot as to expand. Then you will need to replace a lot more then just the worm gear.
From my understanding I like to see a chainsaw low on oil every second time I fill up my gas. This usually ensures the oil pump is working fine. When I only had to top up my oil once to ever 3-4 times gassing up I knew there was a problem. It wasn’t to do with my sharpening but for sometime I thought it was.
To ensure you’re getting enough oil I recommend getting a nice big clean piece of card board. Then position your chainsaw in front of it and without physically cutting the card board, start your saw and throttle it a couple times. One blast wide open after the sporadic blasts and see if there card board has enough oil to satisfy in your opinion.
I may not know a lot of all of the parts names in the video but I can do my best to show you how to get to where you need to go!
