I was lucky enough to get to watch a whole sumo practise in Tokyo, Japan while I was there. I went on a Wednesday morning. The Arashio beya Sumo Stable has large windows which allows you to see their whole training. Keiko - in Japanese.

A sumo stable in Tokyo, Japan has the same kind of practise and training every day. Thet actually eat, sleep, train, repeat. Not far from the dojo it is possible to dig in some chankonabe and get a hint of the tradition that really surrounds these wrestlers. This is the best of japanese sports culture.
You should really go if you're interested in sumo and you're in Tokyo.
