"On the basis of half of the ballots already counted, here are the figures available: Mr. Nicolas Sarkozy 10,924,233 votes so 53,69 percentage of the vote, Segolene Royal, 9, 421,017 votes so, 46,31 percentage of the votes. These results will evolve throughout the night but the gap registered, the election of Mr. Nicolas Sarkozy as the French President seems guaranteed.
