In this video, I show you how to do a test print from a Canon Pixma MG5550 inkjet printer, directly from the machine itself. This means that this method can be used with the PC off, or even if your printer is not connected to anything at all.
A nozzle check is a great way to troubleshoot print quality issues with many other Canon Pixma printers, including the MG5500, MG5510, MG5520, MG5540, MG5560, MG5570 and MG5580. Checking the printer's ability to produce black, cyan, magenta and yellow from the installed PGI-550 and CLI-551 ink cartridges, is a great start.
