Last weekend, Mr. Peanut and the Planters NUTmobile visited the Sacramento History Museum. While recording some videos, our guests wondered if we could print an image of Mr. Peanut.
While we don’t have a woodcut of a peanut, Jared found an electrotype (copy of a woodcut) in the Lewis Winter Collection that was made about 130 years ago. This electrotype bears a resemblance to Mr. Peanut so we printed a copy in orange oil base ink using a 3x5 Kelsey Excelsior tabletop printing press.
By the way, we do have autographed prints of Howard available in our Museum Store!
