In celebration of World Environment Day, ECO EGYPT is launching the first Marine Conservation Campaign in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region implemented by UNDP Egypt and the Ministry of Environment.
80% of travel in Egypt targets the Red Sea, subjecting it to intensifying tourism pressures and negatively impacting this highly sensitive biodiversity hub.
Safeguarding our children’s right to inherit Egypt’s natural heritage means protecting our pristine ecosystems.
Hence, launching the Marine Conservation Campaign to raise awareness about the importance of conserving our natural assets.
In partnership with the Global environment facility, Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, Ministry of Civil Aviation, the Egyptian Hotel Association, and CDWS - Chamber of Diving & Water Sports, the campaign will share a series of videos showcasing the most common tourist practices harming the marine environment and offering easy solutions to help protect and restore our ecosystems.
We affect more lives than we can imagine without realizing.
Allow present and future generations to experience the Red Sea with all its beauty.
Watch the video & learn how you can be part of the solution.
