Commuting on my 2007 Yamaha R6 in the early morning is always interesting. On this day I was lane splitting, down the highway as normal. I split several cars in a row as traffic was slowing all around me. As I split past an SUV I ran right up a highway patrol officer. I was caught, the cop car didn’t initially flash his lights but I knew I was caught. Eventually he queued the light and I pulled over behind me. My first thoughts, FUCK, I am going to be late for work. However, as the officer left his vehicle he yelped. Gotcha! In a playful tone and proceeded to ask “what are you doin bro!”. I told him I was on my way to work and he could tell as I was wearing a safety vest, book bag, and was riding in morning rush hour. The officer was really cool about the whole thing, I let me know “This aint California” and that he had to stop me (understandable) he advised me to be safe and let me go with a verbal warning. He could have really screwed up my morning, be he seems like he rides a motorcycle himself. I thanked the officer (I was very thankful) and went on my way. Not all cops are dicks, and I wanted to highlight one of the many cool officers out there in America. Thank you sir! 7 hours later I was lane splitting again, and ran up behind the sheriff. Rather than ride behind him and hold my breathing waiting for him to pull me over I promptly exit the Freeway and then get back on. Cool cops vs bikers are awesome experiences, I hope I always get Cool cops pull over. bikers love cool cops. I hope all cops are this cool in 2018. its all apart of bike life though. Motorcycle and sportbike life. however it will always be Bikes vs Cops
