Home of the Baltimore Orioles baseball team, Camden Yards is a 45,971-seat baseball stadium located in Baltimore, Maryland. It opened in 1992 and is largely responsible for the resurgence of "retro-style" ballparks constructed in Major League Baseball during the 1990s and early 2000s.
"Cookie-cutter" multi-purpose stadiums were popular in the 1970s and 1980s to fulfill the needs of both MLB and NFL teams in one centralized site, but the trend became outdated and stale as the dimensions of both sports caused the awkwardly shaped stadiums to offer poor vantage points and obstructed angles.
A trademark of Camden Yards is the former Baltimore & Ohio Warehouse that towers above right field. The team has not won a World Series since moving into the ballpark, but after a decade of poor on-field performance, the Orioles has the potential to make a playoff run soon!
