The booming neighbourhood of Findlay Creek in south Ottawa will get a new elementary school to ease the overcrowding at Vimy Ridge PS. The school now has 17 portable classrooms in the yard, and more are expected next fall.
The school was built for 647 students but enrolment now at 1,081 as of late last year, according to a school board report.
