Staten Island business owner Joseph Del Villar said he was excited that his teenage children bought him a fancy, new drone for Christmas.
And the owner of the Dongan Hills-based Island Entertainment felt the best way to break in his new drone was “capturing the beauty of Staten Island.”
“My kids are only 17 and 19, and they spent a lot of money on this drone so I wanted to show how beautiful Staten Island is,” said Del Villar. “My kids really surprised me. I have used drones before, but nothing as nice as this.”
With the Verrazzano-Narrows Bridge in the foreground, Del Villar -- who also owns two Boulevard Dry Cleaners and Dante Zeller Tuxedos -- flew his drone over South Beach, then also captured winter beach scenes at Great Kills Harbor and Wolfe’s Pond Park, Prince’s Bay.
