On 23 March, Bihar Legislative assembly witnessed extraordinary scenes when opposition MLAs were manhandled, dragged, and kicked by the security personnel. The assembly saw a ruckus over Bihar Special Armed Police Act 2021, which was later passed in the evening. Opposing the bill that gives the police powers to search anyone without a warrant and take them into custody wherever they are posted, Opposition MLAs sat outside the Assembly building and raised slogans. RJD Leader Tejashwi Yadav has demanded an apology from Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar over the eviction of the MLAs from the state assembly
