How do you lead when you are not in charge? Can you? Or do you have to have the title?
These are all things that Clay Scroggins clearly answers in his book, “How to Lead When You’re Not In Charge.”
Imagine this ➡️ You’ve always been a high achiever.
-You were in SGA
-You played competitive Sports. Maybe you were even captain.
-You served in your youth group and even mentored younger students.
-You gave tours on your college campus and served the university in other ways.
-You were on the exec committee in your fraternity / sorority.
-You had multiple companies who wanted to hire you out of college.
You finally take the high paying job with great benifits ANDDDDDD…..
Your manager is average at best, your ideas are met with “we’ve always done it this way,” & you’re 5 years away from any formal leadership role.
👆That person is technically not “in charge,” but they CAN LEAD. The choice is yours.
