Lucian Adolphus Whipple practiced law for over seventy years. Here’s some wisdom from the oldest practicing lawyer in the USA. When I spent an afternoon with the “Colonel” in Cochran, Georgia I learned more about the ideas, ethics and principles of the law than I could ever imagine. That was September, 1976, a few days before his last court case. He won that case. L. A. Whipple passed away in August, 1979, just eleven days before his 101st birthday.
