Last month, it was revealed that the Sussexes are preparing to work on two separate factual series for Netflix as part of their multi-million dollar contract with the streaming platform. One will focus on the world of professional polo under Harry, while the other will focus on gardening, cookery and lifestyle under Meghan. Meghan Markle's show will allegedly focus on the joys of cooking, gardening, entertaining and friendship. The show was announced shortly after Meghan unveiled a new brand, American Riviera Orchard, which is rumoured to sell home décor items and cooking spices.
But it looks like Harry and Meghan are now turning their attention to Paramount. What happened to the long-awaited hundred million dollar contract with Netflix and the cooking show that was supposed to be the talk of the town? Everything seemed to be going smoothly. Thanks to some intriguing blind articles on Sedan, it was revealed that the chefs, not Meghan, were quite fed up. Meghan, despite her self-proclaimed culinary prowess, is not exactly a chef. Accordingly, it seems that the streaming giant was very angry with Meghan because they expected her to take part in the launch of the new show, but she deemed it beneath her status. The celebrity chef's reaction to this was quite peculiar because he always supports his network unconditionally. So it looks like the cooking show is already on shaky ground. Netflix doesn't really want to air it, thanks in no small part to Meghan's insistence on micromanaging the chefs.
Remember Selena Gomez's cooking show? Now that was fun. She understood the kitchen about as well as a cat understands quantum physics, and it was fascinating. But Megan took the reins and promptly drove the show off a cliff. Directors quit, staff members left, and the whole thing turned into a big mess.
Meghan Markle faced intense scrutiny after her new brand debuted in March, leading to opinions that she was sensitive as part of the brand launch, which included a new website and Instagram account. Meghan handed out jars of strawberry jam, the brand's first product, to 50 friends and influencers for tasting. Notably, Meghan tried to emphasise the exclusivity of the jam by personally numbering each jar from 1 to 50. Royal expert and author Tom Quinn believes Meghan has reached the stage where she expects to be criticised for everything she does, especially in light of the backlash surrounding the jam. Speaking to the Mirror, Mr Quinn said that, like her husband, she feels people pick on her unfairly. She can't understand why people don't admire her work. He also said that she is not ready for further criticism, adding that she is very sensitive to any criticism of the luxurious lifestyle in the United States. From her point of view, it is something to be admired rather than criticised.
In addition, according to the publication, Meghan is currently planning a PR campaign ahead of the official opening of the American Riviera Orchard later this year. She hopes it will attract new followers and ideally lead to appearances on chat shows and podcasts. Perhaps Meghan will even be interviewed by specially selected journalists in an attempt to boost online sales. Meghan is said to be desperate to improve her image in the US and UK.
