FRAMINGHAM, Mass. (WKRC) -- The New England Compounding Center has reached a settlement with victims of a major meningitis outbreak. Attorneys involved with the matter say the 100-million dollar fund will compensate the victims and pay off creditors. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says the outbreak was linked to tainted steroid injections from the Massachusetts-based center. Nearly 700 people were sickened and dozens of deaths were reported. The plan is now awaiting a judge's approval.
