Mr. Lamin Sanneh, the former CEO of the OIC Banjul Secretariat, recounts in an exclusive interview with Freedom Radio the accomplishments he achieved for the secretariat, which were unexpectedly interrupted due to meddling and interference from State House. Mr. Sanneh, an international investment banker, resigned from his lucrative foreign job to give his talents for the development of The Gambia, guaranteeing the summit's success. Regrettably, the OIC Banjul Summit was a failure rather than a success. Mr. Sanneh, a fervent proponent and member of the UDP executive, contends that the UDP is not a Mandinka political party but an inclusive political entity dedicated to promoting a more affluent and equitable society for all Gambians, as outlined in the party's five-point agenda. Mr. Sanneh contends that Gambians must adopt systemic change to elect appropriate leaders, necessitating collective unity for the benefit of our nation.
