I purchased this Skil TS6307-00 after watching numerous reviews online and deciding that, since I'm not building cabinets, I'll be fine with an entry-level model. I think, overall, it's probably the best entry-level saw out there, but it has a fatal flaw -- the throat plate sucks. There are a couple aftermarket options out there, but only zero clearance (no dado plates). Other than the plate, the saw seems to be great and, unlike a lot of "jobsite" table saws, it's actually portable. It's lightweight, not awkwardly huge, and easily stored in a small garage. You can also make a saw table around it as, when the integrated legs are folded up, there are little rubber nubbins that the saw sits on just like any other jobsite table saw would have. Is it worth the $299.99 plus 8.75% tax plus gas money? Yeah (considering today's prices). It is it worth any more? No.
