Sahra Nguyen, Founder of Nguyen Coffee Supply, shows us how make espresso using a La Marzocco Linea Mini home espresso machine. We're using Vietnamese coffee beans roasted in Brooklyn, NY.
Zero out scale with portafilter.
Dial in the espresso on your grinder and machine. We recommend 18 grams in for 40 grams out within 25-30 seconds.
Dose your ground coffee into your portafilter.
Remove or add coffee grounds as necessary
Tamp and press down onto the ground coffee
Pull your espresso
Taste the espresso.
Too acidic, it can be under extracted. Too bitter, it can be over extracted.
Adjust until it fits your preference.
