The Three Augusts & Five Emperors are the mythical rulers of ancient China that supposedly ruled before the first Chinese dynasty, the Xia dynasty. They are also the moral exemplars of Confucianism. These figures have also been incorporated into Korea, Vietnamese and Hmong myth and history.
