Tonight, we report on a heroic rescue mission of young girl by six Kenyans from Nairobi River amid ongoing heavy rains that caused deaths and destruction on unimaginable scale. The 14-year-old girl surrounded by floodwaters held onto a tree in the middle of the raging floodwaters until her rescue by the team of six volunteers who formed a unit, in an impressive rescue mission that averted a tragedy. Ayub Abdikadir reports on the April 23rd incident which happened in Korogocho, one of the neighbourhoods in the capital Nairobi severely affected by the heavy rains.
