What is Squint Eye or Strabismus?
Squint or strabismus is a misalignment of the eyes where the eyes do not look in the same direction. This condition is common, and more than one crore cases of Squint Eye emerge per year in India. Squint Eye can be more common in children than adults.
Here, Dr. Y.L. Rajashekar from Shekar Eye Hospital explains the causes and treatment for Squint Eye.
He mentions that normally this condition happens during childhood itself. In the early stages for children if it is recognized and proper treatment is given we can restore the vision and align the eyes.
Many people think that squint is a permanent condition and cannot be corrected. But the truth is that eyes can be straightened at any age.
