New trends of outdoor bonding

It doesn't always have to be a long-distance trip - life can also be enjoyed in a pool at home. Many have recognized this trend triggered by Corona and have created extraordinary constructions with solid natural stone or ceramics in upscale swimming pool or outdoor kitchen construction.

In our video " New trends in outdor bonding", we introduce you to the different adhesive systems for exterior use and how they can be used for solid construction and structural bonding. With the help of a short historical review, Johannes Albert, Director of Application Technology at AKEMI, describes the development of adhesives: from the beginnings with polyester resins to epoxy resin systems to today's UV-stable PUR adhesives.

By means of application examples, we show which requirements are placed on adhesives in the outdoor area for massive construction methods. In practical demonstrations, Johannes Albert shows the bonding of different materials (e.g., natural stone and metal) as well as the colouring of non-yellowing adhesives.
