5 Factors responsible for good health and better immunity
1 Agni : In Sanskrit Agni means fire. Food once consumed is to be digested, absorbed, and assimilated, which is unavoidable for the maintenance of life, and is performed by Agni. Low or reduced agni (Digestive/Metabolic fire) leads to many metabolic diseases, increases toxins in the body. Diseases like rheumatoid arthritis, Ankylosing spondylitis, Psoriasis, Diabetes, low immunity are caused due to diminished Agni.
2. Langan- Fasting: It is a very effective and powerful protocol for many diseases like fever, obesity, and diabetes. Helps in reducing toxins from the body, improves agni. Normalises metabolism. helps in Autophagy at the cellular level.
3.Diet: A good complete diet is very important to keep a person healthy and strong. Fresh vegetables, fruits, legumes, pulses should be included in the daily diet. Avoid old or stale food, bread, Pav, bakery products, excessively spicy, salty food. A wholesome and complete diet for boosting immunity gives positive energy to the body, a nutritious body and improves immunity.
4. Ayurveda Rasayan medicines: Ayurveda has advised herbs like Amla (Indian gooseberries), Haritaki (Terminalia chebula) as Rasayana medicines. They have anti-ageing, antioxidant properties. Chavanprash is also beneficial for improving immunity
5. Excercise: the most important yet highly neglected aspect of life. Every individual should be active for 30 mins in physical exercise like Walking, Yoga, Suryanamaskar or meditation Know, how Okinawa Island people of Japan live more than 100 years (centenarians). They have fewer heart and diabetes cases.
