Finally getting around to adding an exterior thermal break with rigid foam insulation. Although it's the thinner insulation it'll help with maintaining a thermal barrier. With 2x6 walls the interior insulation should be around R-21 with an additional R-3 over the sheathing. Since I did the same with the roof I'm hoping we'll be able to maintain a constant comfortable temperature with minimal heating cost.
