Shin Dong-Huyk was born inside a North Korean prison camp. He was tortured, starved and forced to watch the execution of his brother and mother, before risking his life to escape to South Korea. Yet Shin wants to return to live in the camp because he considers it his home and was at his most happiest and pure of heart while located there. Can a prisoner who only ever knows slavery ever hope to understand freedom?
