Foreign Policy’s second annual Climate Summit returns for two days of high-level programming on pressing issues in the fight against climate change. On the heels of COP26, global leaders across government, business, and civil society are looking for collaborative ways to make up for lost time and accelerate the transition to net-zero. On our second day, we turned an eye toward the role of waste reduction and cleaner consumption in pursuing ecological protections. Speakers included former Secretary-General of the United Nations Ban Ki-moon, Jordanian Queen Rania al-Abdullah, and Costa Rican President Carlos Alvarado Quesada.
