Since time immemorial, human beings have been transient travellers. With the unmitigated rise of protectionism and nationalism today, immigration has been heavily curtailed. Governments are beefing up their borders to protect cultural integrity, social compact and domestic employment which are seemingly threatened by unfettered immigration. In this joint event between the Adam Smith Center, SMU Economics Intelligence Club, NTU Economics Society, LSE Hayek Society and KCL's Libertarian Society, Prof. Chandran Kukathas draws insights from his new book, Immigration and Freedom, to explore draconian immigration restrictions and its infringement on liberty.
