"EDIT" Ok I'm closing the feedback window on this one, looks like a majority vote for edited but those against raise good points too. So I'm going to probably proceed with edited as the main one, however I will be using the unedited (with the crackle gone though) if I feel that the edited version is too bassy and gets lost in the other audio that is usually present due to the games. What software do you have at your disposal? Audacity, Adobe Audition, and a copy of Avid Pro Tools I can't utilise because Vegas disagrees and breaks peak levels when I have Pro Tools edited audio files for some unknown reason.

No. I can't just get a new mic because that requires money I don't have right now, hence I'm trying to find a digital solution while I pray for more funds that I don't have to drop on food, rent etc without sacrificing the last of my sanity and sleep time on more work.
