Local chit chat on a very very rare Browning Golden Eagle Mark 4A with a silk screened transmitter / plated Mark 4a receiver. Browning legend has it that the silk screened Mark 4A where not built by Browning but the leftover stock and parts was bought by an engineer, Nichol's once Browning closed and he put together a few of the Silk screened 4a's from those parts. Legend estimates that there where only about 10 of these made. The wiring in the silk screened transmitter does not have any wire ties and doesn't look as tight as Browning made. Other than that, I do not see any other differences. This one does key 6 watts which I think is high for a Browning. I do not know why, and it swings to 14 average and 30 peak. Maybe Mr. Nichol's tweaked this one a little, I don't know. Anyway, not for sale, just showing off. It's a keeper. My Browning collecting is almost done.
